Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 gains FCC approval

While the illustration above closely resembles the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, the FCC filing it is attached to actually belongs to the Galaxy Tab 2. Both devices are similar on the hardware front but the model number GT-P3113 distinguishes the Tab 2 from the Tab 7.0 Plus (GT-P310). With the approval notice comes confirmation of a Broadcom radio with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
The Galaxy Tab 2 is expected to hit Europe in March but this visit to the FCC suggests we may see the tablet in the US soon enough. That or Samsung is just making sure they have the bases covered. The Galaxy Tab 2, which was announced earlier this week. is and Android 4.0 device with a 7-inch display and dual-core processor.
